About The Travel Blogger

Hello there! I am Juls, a young, aspiring travel blogger from the Philippines and the founder of Traveledictorian. A portmanteau of travel and valedictorian, Traveledictorian is a travel blog that publishes thoughtful travel articles.

An Outgoing Kid

My upbringing in a laid-back, far-off town has taught me to value a modest lifestyle. I enjoy the outdoors, like many kids my age but I also find myself in trouble for being up late.

Outdoorsy to a Homebody

I stopped being interested in the outdoors and spent most of my time reading books. Hence, I graduated at the top of my class. I then came to the realization that life is about more than just academics.

Travel for Work and Leisure

The company I work for provides travel to the Philippines. For many other people, perhaps, having free flights and hotel stays when traveling is the ideal job. I go to sights, try the local delicacies, socialize with people, and have fun at nighttime parties after work.

Feeling of Self-Reproach

I made the snap decision to leave my dream job of a lifetime, which led to situational sadness. The days of working for travel and living each day as if it were my last are long gone.

The Recovery

I travelled to several of Southeast Asia’s most well-known tourist destinations, which include the mountains of Sagada. Hence, I eventually got well, put my broken dreams back together, and continued to follow my passion for travel and writing.

A Piece of Advice

When facing impediments, experiencing mental health problems, losing a loved one, or feeling anxious, do think about taking a trip. Traveling is, in fact, treatment for our recovery.

Inception

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the entire world into a total lockdown period. Curfews and prohibitions on community mobilizations have been implemented in many countries, including the Philippines.

While the directive to stay at home is in effect, I had the idea to commence a travel blog where I would document my travels and experiences. Bangkok Travel Guide was the very first piece of writing I had ever published on my site, Traveledictorian.

Love for Arts

Besides creative writing, I am also inclined into photography, videography, and graphic design. Hence, I created visually pleasing content across various channels to share my creative side.

Realization of a Dream

One of my ultimate tourist destinations is the “Land of the Rising Sun.” I have the opportunity to travel to Osaka and several other locations in Japan in 2022. Arriving in this modern nation steeped in history and culture is a fulfillment of a long-held dream.

Future Travel Plan

Along with this, I also hope to travel and undertake humanitarian work. I am the co-founder of the nonprofit ‘Claus Gives Back,’ which offers help to homeless people.

Check out my Instagram as I feature some of the world’s most admired places.
